Graveside service for Leon C. Grantland, 92, of Hartselle will be Monday, July 2, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Thomas officiating and Ridout''s Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Grantland, who died Friday, June 29, 2007, at his residence, was born June 24, 1915, in Morgan County to Morris and Maude Grantland. He was the owner of Grantlands Garage in Trinity, and lived in Trinity all his life until he moved to Hartselle 11 years ago. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Chambers Grantland, and his son, Bobby Grantland. Survivors include one niece, Beverly Rogers Poellnitz of Demopolis; one nephew, Thomas J. Grantland of Birmingham; one special great-great-great-niece, Sarah Renee Cummings; and a devoted caregiver, Dialla Ray of Moulton. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Aseracare Hospice of Decatur.
