Funeral service for Lera I Long, 89, of Decatur will be Wednesday March 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Long officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Long who died Saturday March 12, 2016 at Decatur Morgan Hospital was born on March 4, 1927, in Decatur, AL. In 1963 Mr. & Mrs. Long started Long Battery Co.

She is preceded in death by her husband Harold Long and son, James Morgan. She is survived by her son Mike Long and wife Penny; daughter-in-law Debra Morgan; one grandson, Cory Long, two granddaughters, Brandy Davis and Misty Parker and two great-grandchildren, Briley Davis and Ayden Davis.
