Funeral services for Letha Newell Knight, 89, of Decatur will be Sunday, April 10, 2011, at 3 p.m. at Ridout's Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Alan Watkins officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ms. Knight, who died April 7, 2011, at Summerford Nursing Home, was born August 4, 1921, in Lawrence County to Tom and Marie Newell. She was a retired LPN nurse for Decatur General Hospital. She was member of Grant Street Church of Christ and was a member of AARP Chapter 234 in Decatur.
She is survived by one brother, Horace M. Newell of Columbus, Ohio and several nieces and one nephew.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity, Grant Street Church of Christ Library or Childhaven, P.O. Box 2070, Cullman, AL 35056.
