Mrs. Lila K. "Kathleen" Gautney, 82, of Elgin Crossroads, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2008 at her home.
The funeral service will be Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Elkins East Chapel Funeral Home with Daniel Gaines officiating. Burial will follow in the Belew Cemetery. Visitation was Monday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gautney was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband Dalton Gautney, parents Wilburn and Hattie Tays, and brothers Charles and Glenn Tays.
Kathleen is survived by a son Larry Gautney and his wife Becky; grandchildren Glenn Gautney, Katie Reaves, Larry (Melissa) Nunley, Sophia James and Steve (Melanie) Gautney; great-grandchildren Haley Reaves, Chase Davis, Casey James, Tyler Long, Mason Nunley, Mallory Nunley, Sydney James, Andrew Gautney, Hannah Reaves and David Reaves; sister-in-law Nell Tays; nieces and nephews Sharon (Daniel) Lovell and Tim (Jill) Tays and their daughter Sarah Grace.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Gautney, Bill Steen, Earl Walton, Sid Robinson, Charles Walton and Doug Burchell.
