Funeral service for Lillian E. Hughes, 75, of Decatur will be Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Reverend Ricky Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Moss Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hughes, who died Saturday, August 16, 2014, was born June 17, 1939, in Morgan County to Noah and Velma Peppers Ray. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dewey Hughes; two sisters, Louise Reed and Wanda Grigsby; and stepson, James Hughes. She was a loving mother and grandmother. A very selfless person and an amazing woman.

Survivors include one son, Dewey Lee Hughes; three daughters, Janet Mitchell (Kim), Melody Tippett and Joy Gamble; three stepchildren, Buster Hughes, Wayne Hughes and Lola Ogle; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
