Graveside service for Linda Higdon Carpenter, 76, of Decatur will be on Monday September 23, 2024 at 2:30 PM at Roselawn Cemetery with Geoff Halbrooks officiating. She will have a visitation at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

Mrs. Carpenter was born on March 27, 1948 in Alabama to James E. Higdon and Lenora Makemson Higdon and she passed away on September 19, 2024. She was preceded in death by her daughter Bethany Gail Hammond.

She is survived by her Husband Don Carpenter. Two daughters Lisa Lee and husband Steven, Angela Hammond. Stepson Glenn Carpenter and wife Kim. Brother Michael Higdon and wife Robin and 8 grandchildren. Three nieces and nephews.
