Linda Long Gosline, age 72, passed away after a long battle with cancer in Decatur, Alabama on October 3, 2016. The family will have a viewing at Ridout''s Brown-Service Funeral Home Wednesday from 7:00 until 8:30 Her internment services will be Thursday October 6, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Burningtree Cemetery with Pastor Jimmy Smith officiating.

She is preceeded in death by her husband Roy Gosline; her parents, Bill and Clara Elizabeth Long and brother Jimmy Long.

Linda is survived by her son, Roy Gosline, Jr. and his wife Christie Long; her son, Jimmy Gosline; her beloved granddaughter, Jaylon Fowler; her beloved longtime friend E.C. McDonald and Lynn Watkins and her lifelong companion, Precious Joy, her beloved dog. She is also survived by brothers Frank Long and his wife Pam of Lawrenceville, Georgia; Mike Long and his wife Leslie of Birmingham, Alabama; sisters Kay Ramsey and her husband (Ron) of Michigan, Sandra McCarthy of South Carolina and Carolyn Cagle of Decatur. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Also, Jimmy Smith, an old friend of the family).

Linda attended Decatur Senior High School and worked for many years at Ryan''s steak house.

The family would like to thank Alacare Hospice and the wonderful nurses, Kim and Cindy caregivers that attended her during her illness.
