Linda Faye Lard, age 61, of Florence, passed away on Saturday June 20, 2009 at ECM Hospital.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday June 23, 2009 at Canaan United Methodist Church at 2 pm with Bro. Ted Bryson. Mrs. Lard will lie in state at the church from 1pm until 2 pm. Burial will follow in Canaan Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday June 22, 2009 from 6 pm until 9 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Lard is preceded in death by her father, James Ezekiel, and her brothers, Pat and David Ezekiel. She was a member of Canaan United Methodist Church and loved all of the members of the church, especially the little ones in "The King''s Kids". Mrs. Lard loved get togethers at her house, her church, vacation bible school, and her grandkids.
Mrs. Lard is survived by her husband, Dennis Lard; her children, Tony Ezekiel and wife Donna, Amanda Miller, and Larry Irons; her mother, Myrtle Ezekiel; her brothers, Paul Ezekiel and wife Dorothy, Ray Ezekiel and wife Donna, Roger Ezekiel and wife Patti, and Bobby Ezekiel and wife Laura; her sisters, Brenda Gooch and husband Randall, and Nina Condrey; and her grandchildren, Adam Miller, Tommy Miller, Marley Miller, Darby Crosswhite, Brisa Ward, Harley Irons, Kasey Ezekiel, and Alex Ezekiel.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Matthews, Dr. Holden, all of the nurses at ECM and the Florence Nursing and Rehab, Wynoka Irons, her neighbors, Josie White, Marty and Gina Fraley, and the members of Canaan United Methodist Church.
