Funeral for Linda Sue Owens, 66, of Five Points, will be Saturday, June 28, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Enon Baptist Church, with Bro. Steve Ledbetter officiating and Elliott Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Red Hill Cemetery. Visitation wll be Friday from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mrs. Owens who died Thursday morning at her home surrounded by her family, was born May 5, 1942, in Decatur, Al. to Hoyt and catherine Reed. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. Known to many as the "Yard Sale Lady", she found a way into everyone's heart that she met. Throughout her life she demonstrated a giving heart, unconditional love and compassionate to us all. She is truly a blessing to her family and will be greatly missed. Mrs. Owens was preceded in death by her parents, Hoyt William Reed and Catherine Elizabeth Knoblock; and two grandsons, Caleb and Holden Owens. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Owens; four children, Pam McCaghren and her husband, Ronnie, of Pelham, Tim Owens of Five Points, Keith Owens and his wife Sandy, of Cullman and Phillisa Johnson and her husband, Stacy, of Speak; 11 grandchildren, Amanda Jones, Nicholas Owens, Riley Owens, Jacob Owens, Matthew McCaghren, Blake Owens, Michael Owens, Elizabeth Owens, Logan Owens, Nathaniel Johnson and Abigail Johnson; and one great-granddaughter, Cassidy Jones.* Pallbearers will be Jay Owens, Nicholas Owens, Jacob Owens, Riley Owens, Blake Owens and Matthew McCaghren.
