Lorene Manus Watkins age 78 of Elgin Crossroads passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016. Visitation will be at Elkins East Chapel on Saturday, May 14,2016, from Noon until 2:00pm. Services will follow at 2:00pm in the chapel with Jerry Marlow officiating. Burial will be at Barkley-White Cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Bobby Watkins. A Daughter Carolyn Marlow and a son, Michael Watkins. Sister Lucille Thompson and two brothers, J.W. Manus and Mancel Manus. And her mother and father, Odell and Nathan Manus.

Lorene is survived by her children Phillip Watkins (Gail), Sandra Davis (Jeff) and Ricky Watkins (Regina). Grandchildren David Hice, Dennis Hice (Shannon), Amanda Murphree (Robert), Chasity Watkins, Savannah Watkins, Brandon Watkins, Jessica Clarida (Kurt), Ashley Tucker (Nick), Adam Watkins, Justin Watkins, Trevor Watkins (Chante), Lane Watkins, Kayla Watkins and Trace Watkins. Great Grandchildren Summer Hice, Autumn Hice, Anna Hice, Ivy Hice, Sky Hice, Kenlee Clarida, Kaden Clarida, Amelia Tucker, Grayson Tucker, Jacob Watkins, Bentley Watkins, Ashley Murphree, Elijah Murphree, Cody Murphree, Breanna Murphree and Brittany Murphree. Great-Great Grandchildren Owen Gulley, Kyndell Hice, Forrest Gulley and Aria Melton. Two sisters Virta Crunk and Corene Michael. And numerous nieces and nephews.

Mama was a very loving and kind woman. She loved her children and grandchildren very much.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Hice, Lane Watkins, Trace Watkins, Trevor Watkins, Adam Watkins, Justin Watkins and Brandon Watkins.

The family would like to extend a very special thanks to the staff at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home for taking care and loving Lorene.
