Lottie Faye Thigpen, "Mamaw Pen", passed away peacefully at her home on Monday May 10, 2010. She was born January 22, 1929 in Middleton, Tennessee. Funeral services will be on Wednesday May 12, 2010 at 1 pm in the chapel of Elkins East Chapel with Coleman Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in Hale Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday May 11, 2010 from 6 pm until 9 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Thigpen enjoyed her garden, life in general, but most of all she enjoyed her family. She was a member of Center Star Church of Christ. Mrs. Thigpen was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Cecil A. Thigpen; her parents, John and Estelle Carlin; her sister, Annie Mae Sparks; and her grandson, Jeremy Shane Thigpen. Mrs. Thigpen is survived by her children, Annette Price of Killen, John Thigpen and wife Leigh, of Clarksville, TN, and Sandy Murks and husband Greg of Killen; her grandchildren, Jennifer Price, Jason Price, Jeffery Price and wife Susan, Daniel Thigpen, Heather Thigpen, Audrey Ezekiel and husband Billy, and Katie Miller and husband Glenn; her step grandchildren, Ross and Ryan Albert; her great grandchildren, Madison and Brantley Price, Jackson and Chesley Ezekiel, and Cecilia Miller; her sister, Bettye Cox of Tennessee; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Jason Price, Jeffery Price, Billy Ezekiel, Glenn Miller, Chris Shearon, and Mike Perry. Honorary Pallbearers will be Daniel Thigpen, Brantley Price, Jackson Ezekiel, Ross Albert, and Ryan Albert.
