Mr. Louis C. Epping, 89, of St. Florian, died Sunday, April 15, 2012 at his home with his loving wife at his bedside.
Visitation will be at St. Michael''s Catholic Church Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. with the Rosary service at 7:30 p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael''s with Father Edward Markley, O.S.B. officiating. The burial, with military honors, will be in St. Michael''s Cemetery. Elkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Mr. Epping was a faithful member of St. Michael''s Catholic Church. He had retired from the Florence Utility Department and was a member of Electricians Local #558. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a loving husband, daddy and granddaddy. He was preceded in death by sisters Barbara, Adeline, Elizabeth and Rose; by his parents Tony and Clara Epping, and a grandson Gray Chandler. Mr. Epping is survived by his wife of 59 years Clarissa Epping; children Donna and Richard Albright, Louis Epping, Cynthia and Alan Johnson, Kay and David Tomlin and Mary and Brad Chandler; grandchildren Ricky and Shera Albright, Alisha and Jim Ergle, Jason Albright, Christina Albright, Kristen Epping, Brittany Epping, Frances and Darrell Bradley, Melissa Specker, Sarah Tomlin, Graham and Jessica Tomlin, Corey Tomlin and Ross Chandler; great-grandchildren Katelyn and Lillian Ergle, Wiley, Eli, Sophia and Nyla Bradley, Marli and Kenadi Magee and Camberly Tomlin.
Pallbearers will be Ricky and Jason Albright, Corey and Graham Tomlin and David and Charlie Mecke.
