Louise Richardson Lancaster, age 89, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2010, at Noland Hospital, in Montgomery, AL. Born on March 16, 1921, she was a long-time resident of Florence and a member of Sherrod Avenue Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Lancaster, and her mother and stepfather, Margaret & Dumont Moore.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, David and Deborah Lancaster, of Birmingham; her daughter and son-in-law, Norma and John McGee, of Montgomery; grandchildren Deborah McGee Carson and husband Chris Carson of Sherman Oaks, CA; Joel McGee of Redondo Beach, CA; Danielle Lancaster of Atlanta, GA; and DJ Lancaster of Birmingham.
Visitation will be held at Elkins Funeral Home in Florence on Wednesday, April 14, from 6-9 p.m.
Jack Wilhelm will officiate the funeral services on Thursday, April 15, at 1 p.m., in the Chapel at Elkins. Burial will follow at Greenview Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Chris Carson, Gary Howard, Billy Robertson, Paul Swindall, Jim Wallace and David Webb.
