IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Louise
Mayo
September 19, 1935 – April 10, 2024
Sudie Louise Mayo, 88 of Decatur was born on September 19, 1935 in Marshall County Alabama to Herman R. Mayo and Helen R. Clark. She passed away on April 10, 2024 at Decatur Health and Rehabilitation. She served her Lord and Savior as a single Independent Baptist Missionary in Japan for 30 years and in Indonesia for 3 years before retiring back in Alabama due to health issues.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters "little" Doris Mayo and H. Marie Ragsdale and her brother Charles Thomas Mayo. She is survived by her niece Melissa Marie Bullard and her nephews John David Mayo, Charles Willis Richard Mayo and Timothy Mac Ragsdale, as well as 3 great nephews and multiple 1st and 2ndcousins.
She is also survived by many, many loving friends in Christ at multiple churches, including Bethel Baptist Church in Hartselle, AL, and Faith Baptist Church in Decatur, AL, where she was a member in her final years.
She has requested no flowers and that, in lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite missions. She wanted the Gospel to continue to be spread throughout the world, as she so lovingly spent her life, even in sickness, continuing. She was greatly loved and will be incredibly missed.
A Family visitation will be on Monday April 15, 2024 at Ridout's Brown-Service from 12:30 PM until 1:00 PM. A graveside will follow at 2:00 PM at Madison city Cemetery on Mill Road.
