Funeral for Lucille Washburn Hicks, 91, of Decatur will be Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Sims officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Hicks, who died Saturday, April 17, 2010, at USA Healthcare, was born May 10, 1918, to William and Zora Washburn. She was a lifelong member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul L. Hicks; son, Thomas R. Hicks; daughter-in-law, Bonnie G. Hicks; and three sisters, Ruby Battles, Irene Lamon and Ruthie Mae McWright.
She is survived by two brothers, Lewis Washburn (Virginia) of Caddo and Ray Washburn (Madge) of Decatur; one sister, Pearl Markum (Wade) of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; one granddaughter, LeAnn Cassingham (L.J); and two great-grandchildren, Spencer Poole and Morgan Cassingham.
The family appreciates the care given to Mrs. Hicks by the staff at USA Healthcare and the Southern Care Hospice.
