Funeral for Lucille Malcom, 93, of Moulton will be Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Murner and the Rev. Wiley LouAllen officiating. Burial will be in Landersville Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Malcom, who died Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, was born Jan. 9, 1916, in Lawrence County to L.H. Buddy and Della Latham. She was a life-long member of Landersville United Methodist Church and a member of the Eastern Star. Her husband, Earl H. Malcom Sr., preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Earl Sonny Malcom Jr.; one grandson, Chris Malcom and his wife, Natalie; and two great-grandchildren, Gus and Ashton Malcom, all of Moulton; one sister, Margie Hooper of Cullman; and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Byars, J.D. Byars, Chris Malcom, Gus Malcom, Sonny Malcom and J.R. Latham. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Comfort Care Hospice, Dr. Chad McElroy and staff at Complete Family Care, and Lynn Morris who cared for her at home during her extended illness.
