Funeral for Luther E. "Buddy" Cagle, 85, of Decatur will be today, August 30, 2011, at 3 p.m. at Beltline Church of Christ with Charles Baggett officiating and Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Cagle, who died Sunday, August 28, 2011, at Decatur Health and Rehab, was born May 1, 1926, in Morgan County to M.L. and Minnie Cagle. He was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
He is survived by two daughters, Deborah Cagle Truitt and husband, Danny, and Donna Cagle Wright and husband, Danny; one son, Michael Elvege Cagle and wife, Jeannie; one sister, Jewel Sharp; eight grandchildren, Dana Truitt Watts (Tony), Dan Truitt Jr., Dave Truitt (Rhonda), Becky Wright Latham (Phillip), Beth Wright Sellar (Jeff), Melanie Cagle Jones (Daniel), Scott Cagle (Kristy) and Julie Cagle Jones (Blake); and dear friends, Hollis and Marguerite Lynn.
Donations may be made to Haiti Disaster Relief Fund c/o Beltline Church of Christ.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Solley, Howard Hendrix, Billy Melson, Larry Mitchell, Lee Brewer, Hollis Lynn, Larry Lynn, Roger Turner, Dan Cunningham, Joe Drake, Tommy Brown, Frank Barker and Granville
