Obituary

Funeral for Woodie Sparks, 77, of Moulton, will be Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Tim Lovett, Dr. Tommy Whitlow and Rev. Charles Sparks officiating and Elliott Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be at Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday, July 18 from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Woodie Sparks, who died Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at his home, was born in Lawrence County, May 6, 1936 to Luther N. Sparks and Mattie McLemore Sparks.
Woodie was a well known electrician and appliance repair serviceman for over 55 years.
He founded Sparks Appliance Repair in 1967. For the past 15 years; his grandson Hunter has worked with him and will continue running the family business.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Imogene Sparks, Pauline Terry, Beatrice Voss and Judy Naylor.
He is survived by his wife of almost 59 years, Doris J. Givens Sparks; two sons, Tony W. Sparks (Melanie), Ronnie L. Sparks (Tracy); one daughter, Tana K. Sparks Frost;
Seven grandchildren, Amber Sparks, Adrian Sparks Richardson (Dusty), Hunter Frost (Jessica), Hannah Frost, Haley Sparks, Luke Sparks (Ashley), Keeton Sparks; one great granddaughter, Presley Mae Richardson.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Frost, Luke Sparks, Keeton Sparks, Dusty Richardson, Tim Voss and Todd Givens. Honorary pallbearers will be Dewayne McKelvey, Tom Legg, Otis Shelton, Anthony Alexander, Bill Littrell and Elton Porter.
