Lynda Anne Cook, aged 70, passed away on May 27, 2014 after her courageous battle with cancer.
Lynda was born in Decatur, AL on June 20, 1943.
She was married to Glennis Cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Elna Sutton.
She is survived by her daughter Malissa Lynn 48 (FL) and sons John Michael 45 (MO), Matthew Aaron 41 (MS), Jamie Lee 38 (TN), Robert David 34 (AL), grandson Aaron Bryant 11 (MS), brother Mark Sutton, and sisters Gay Rodgers and Gina Goodin.
She attended NW AL State Jr. College.
She created breathtaking gardens and made many beautiful afghans for wedding gifts and for babies. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, macram and English smocking. She also enjoyed the opera, theater and history.
The Cook family acknowledges with gratitude the staff of the UAB Kirklin Clinic and the staff of Gentiva Hospice for her care during her illness.
The memorial service will be held in private. In lieu of flowers, donations to Gentiva Hospice, 2530 Florence Blvd Suite B Florence, Alabama 35660 (256-764-0873), would be appreciated.
