Funeral for Lyndon Lee "Doby" Mayes, 74, of Langtown will be Thursday, May 5, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Elliott Funeral Home with Bro. Johnathan Henderson and Archie Letson Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Mayes, who died Thursday, April 28, 2011, was born August 3, 1936, in Lawrence Co. to Dee Mayes and Bertha Terry Mayes. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Dee Eugene Mayes.
Survivors include brother, Harold Mayes Sr., sister, Mozerine Wreattia; nieces, Janet Letson (Archie), Ramona Simeouax, Marsha Tidwell (Dillard), Pamela Simms (Jimmie); nephews, Freddy Mayes (Susan), Rick Mayes, Harold Mayes Jr. (Carol), Ronald Mayes (Amy); and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.
Pallbearers will be Richie Alexander, Lee Jordan, Josh Johnson, Kenny Ray, Danny West, Bo Collier and Heath Mayes. Published in the Decatur Daily on May 3, 2011
