Macil Betherine Gooch age 85 of Florence, passed away Wednesday July 23, 2014. Visitation will be Friday, July 25, 2014 from 1:00 P.M. till 3:00 P.M. at Canaan United Methodist Church. Services will follow at 3:00 P.M. at the church with David Skipworth officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Canaan Cemetery.

Macil is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Ralph Gooch. Three sons, Larry, Donnie and Randall Gooch. Parents, the late Otis and Nettie Young. Brothers, C.W. Young and Melvin Young. Sister, Caroline Heck.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry Gooch and Timmy Gooch. Six daughters, Linda Skipworth (David), Janet Risner (Doyle), Kathy Smith (Gary), Sharon White (Jack), Marsha Dawson and Marcie Liles (Homer). Twenty Five grandchildren, Fifty Five Great Grandchildren and One Great great grandchild. Numerous nieces and nephews.
And daughter-in-law Sherry Gooch.

Pallbearers will be Brian McIntyre, Brad McIntyre, Shandon Smith, Michael and Troy Jones, Ryan and Derick Clemmons, Michael Pounders, David Skipworth Jr., and Josh and Jacob Gooch.

Macil was a dear and precious lady. A faithful and giving wife, a loving Mother. Always sacrificing herself for her children and family, always providing and meeting every need. Macil loved and served God and taught her children the same. This dear beloved Lady will be missed and treasured always, until we meet in our heavenly home. As always, "We will see you tomorrow Mother".
