Funeral for Maggie L. Tanksley, 86, of Hartselle, will be Tuesday, November 6, 2007, at 2:00 pm at Elliott Funeral Home, with Rev. O.D. Bowling officiating. Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Family will receive friends Monday, 6 until 9 at the funeral home. Mrs. Tanksley who died Saturday, November 3, 2007, was born on July 9, 1921, in Lawrence County to Fad and Lee Oma Williams Chaney. Mrs. Tanksley is preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Tanksley, two sons, Raymond Tanksley and Nathan Tanksley. Survivors include five sons, Emmett Tanksley, Troy Tanksley, Talmadge Tanksley, Tramel Tanksley and Athin Tanksley, two daughters, Sue Carol Wiltfong and Denna Fortenberry, twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren
