Mamie Melson Bracken, 95, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Huntsville Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Decatur, Alabama
Born March 27, 1920 she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Melson, 13 of her children, and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include 4 daughters; Joyce Lang of Ardmore, AL, Shirley Hamilton of Huntsville, AL, Linda Thrasher of Athens, AL and Carolyn Petruzzo of Hartselle, AL. 3 sisters; Lucille Williams, Zadie Mae Odell and Mavine Hood. 3 brothers; R.C Flannagin, Junior Flannagin and Clarence Flannagin and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 30th, 2015 with services following at 2:00 p.m. at Ridout''s in Decatur, Alabama with Pastor Shane Williams officiating. Burial will be at Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
