Margaret Brenneman Martin, age 90, died on July 17, 2008 in Nashville.
Margaret was born in Russellville, Alabama on November 6, 1917. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ross R. Martin, her parents, Olivia Mansell Brenneman and Benjamin Franklin Brenneman, her brother, Benjamin Franklin Brenneman, Jr., and her grandson, Joseph Roe Crawford Smith.
Margaret graduated from Sheffield High School and attended Florence State teacher''s College and Larimore Business School. She was a member of Cox Avenue Church of Christ.
The family will receive friends on Monday July 21, 2008 from 1pm until 2 pm at Elkins Funeral Home in Florence. There will be a graveside service at Florence City Cemetery at 2:30 pm on Monday, with burial to follow.
Margaret is survived by her son, Joseph Earl Smith and wife Claudette; her daughter, Margaret Olivia Smith; her brother, Joseph Brenneman and wife Jean; her sister in law, Sarah Brenneman; her granddaughter, Frances Smith Endres and husband Alex; and her great granddaughter, Catherine C. Endres.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Joseph Roe Crawford Smith Scholarship Fund at Brentwood Academy, 219 Granny White Pike, Brentwood, Tennessee, 37027.
