Margaret Adams Thrift's Obituary
Margaret (Adams) Thrift departed this life August 30, 2013.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 3, 2013 from 6-9 p.m. at Elkins Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 4 at 1:00 p.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church on Florence Blvd. with Bro. Chris Compton and Bro. Phil Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Charlie. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Henry Walton and Beulah Mae Scott Adams, her brother, Charles, and his wife, Bobbie Jean Adams.
Mrs. Thrift was retired from Sears after 40 years of service. She was a faithful member of First Free Will Baptist Church, and was a member of The Guiding Star Sunday School class. She did volunteer work with the American Cancer Society for many years.
Survivors include one sister, Judy Adams Fountain, several nieces and nephews which were like her own children, and one sister in law, Johnie Pope.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to First Free Will Baptist Church or The American Cancer Society (104 S. Poplar Street).
