Margie Lanier Gist, 84, of Killen died Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 26, 2024, 11 AM to 12PM at Elkins East Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 12 PM in the chapel with Bro. Stan Dean officiating. Burial will be at Killen Baptist Cemetery.

Margie was a member of Killen Church of Christ. She loved going shopping, yard sales, and decorating homes. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Glen Gist; son, Michael Gist; daughter, Sherry Gist McCorkle; brothers, Arnold Lanier and Arlee Lanier; sisters, Mildred Tidwell, Mary Hughes, Nina Young, Faye Logan; parents, Isacc and Annie Snow Ray Lanier.

Margie is survived by her children, Donna Casteel (Mike) and Joey Gist (Janet); grandchildren, Hope Gist, Magen Gist, Lacy Gallagher (Mike), Tyler Casteel, and Craig Keeton; great-granddaughter, Collins Gallagher; sister, Barbara Walton (Harold); numerous nieces and nephews.
