Mrs. Marguerite Turbeville Edwards, age 87, of Florence, passed away Monday, August 16, 2010 at ECM Hospital.
The family will receive friends Thursday beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Elkins Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel with Rev. Larry White and Rev. Chris Weldon officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Edwards worked for years for Florence City School system and retired in 1988 as bookkeeper at Bradshaw High School. She was a member of Parkway Methodist Church and had been active in Community Bible Study. She was a complement to her husband''s work as a Methodist minister, playing the piano and supporting him and the activities of the churches he served over the years.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years Graham Edwards; children Becky White and husband Larry, Silver Spring, MD and Blake Edwards and wife Vickey, Florence; grandchildren Jeff Edwards and wife Jennifer, Natchez, MS, Laura Edwards, Mobile, AL, Will Edwards, Tuscaloosa, AL, Bradley White and wife Tristan, Greenville, SC and Elizabeth West and husband Jeff, Ingleside, IL; nine great-grandchildren; brother Bobby Turbeville, Ozark, AL.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Edwards, Will Edwards, Bob Grice, Ronnie Stone, Charlie Doss and James Fitzpatrick.
