Marie Hayes Butler age 93 of Florence, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. at Elkins East Chapel. Services will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Elkins East Chapel with burial to follow at Butler Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband J.C. Butler and her son Joseph Butler.
She is survived by three grandsons, Matthew Butler, Kenneth Butler and Paul K. Wingard. One granddaughter, Melissa Wingard. Six great-grandchildren; Matthew and Noah Butler, Calloway Lewis, Morgan, Joseph and Kaylan Wingard. And numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Butler was a member of Elgin Primitive Baptist Church.
