Marie Tays Whitehead, 89, formally of Killen died July 11, 2018, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 14, 2018, 6-8 PM at Elkins East Chapel.  A graveside service will be Sunday, July 15, 2018, 2 PM at Bluewater Cemetery, with Bro. Stan Dean officiating.

Mrs. Whitehead was preceded in death by her husband, Hazen Leon Whitehead; two grandsons, Kevin Hicks and Jordan Whitehead.

Mrs. Whitehead is survived by her daughters, Sandra Akins (Jerry), Regina Whitehead, and Terri Martin; five grandchildren, Christopher Hicks (Kimberly), Stephanie Aycock (Billy), Eric Martin, Ricky Akins (Caroline), and Zachary Akins; two great-grandchildren, Chloe Hicks and Mariella Aycock; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Hicks, Eric Martin, Ricky Akins, and Zachary Akins.
