Obituary

Marsue Haraway On August 1, 2011 Marsue Haraway our devoted mother, wife, and grandmother departed this life to join her heavenly father and her departed ones. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 3, 2011, from 11AM-12PM at Elkins Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12PM, in the chapel with Bro. Greg Burnett officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Marsue leaves behind her husband of 58 years, Thomas (T.B.) Haraway; son, Ricky Haraway (Kathy); daughter, Jamie Terrell (Bobby); five grandchildren, Justin Haraway (Kristina), Bo Terrell, Tyler Haraway (Ann Marie), Toni Haraway, and Matthew Terrell; brother, Harlon Hill and special friend Fay Warren and numerous nieces and nephews. Marsue is preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice and Bessie Hill, sister, Dorthy Alexander, and brother, Doyle Hill. Of the things Marsue was proudest of it was her family. She never once put herself or anything before family. Marsue never met a stranger and never forgot a face or name. She would talk for hours and find a way to be related to everyone through past generations. She had a passion for country music and loved the mountains. Marsues passing even though it is a joy in heaven will leave holes in our hearts that can never be filled. The love she so bountifully shared will always sustain her family. Pallbearers will be Justin Haraway, Bo Terrell, Matthew Terrell, Tyler Haraway, Jerry Hill, Tim Haraway, Jan Patterson, and Oscar LeMay. Honorary pallbearers will be James Hill, Billy Ray Hill, Leon LeMay, Travis Hill, and Harold Hayes. The family would like to thank Hospice of the Shoals and the staff and nurses at Michell-Hollingsworth for their loving care during Marsues illness. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of the Shoals.
