Graveside Service for Martha Faye Berry Ward, 89, of Decatur will be Monday June 20, 2016 with Dr. Ben Hayes officiating. The family will have a visitation Monday at Ridout''s Brown-Service funeral home from 9:00 until 10:00 AM with a graveside service following at 10:00 AM at Roselawn cemetery.

Mrs. Ward, who died Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Ridgewood Health Services in Jasper Alabama was born May 26, 1927 in Decatur to John Troupe and Mabel Lawhorn Berry. She was a long time member of Southside Baptist Church. Faye retired from her manager position at Bank Street Finance Company where she was a friend to both staff and customers. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling, attending church services, playing cards at the Decatur Senior Center and attending monthly meetings of the Red Hat Hotties where she was a charter member. She is preceded in death by her husband Garland J. Ward, sister Nell Dean, twin brothers Boyd and Floyd Berry, and twin sisters Aleene Fisher and Eileen Murphree.

Survivors include her son, Garland F. Ward (Sharon) of Ocean Isle Beach, NC and daughter, Deborah Ward Hudson (Steve) of Nauvoo, AL; four grandchildren, Joshua T. Ward Sr., Kirstin (Alan) Ames, Allison (Bo) Behne and Forrest Hudson; and five great-grandchildren, Joshua T. Ward Jr., Riann Ward, Nolan Ames, Landen Ames, and Bennett Behne.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Southside Baptist Church and/or the Alzheimer''s Association in memory of Mrs. Ward.
