Martha Fransis Blocker, age 67, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday December 29, 2009 at ECM Hospital.
Funeral services will be on Sunday January 3, 2010 at 3 pm in the chapel of Elkins Funeral Home in Florence. Fred Rowden will officiate. Entombment will follow at Tri Cities Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday January 3, 2010 from 1 pm until 3 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Blocker is a graduate of Geneva High School. She is a retired truck driver from Wiley Sanders Truck Lines. Mrs. Blocker is preceded in death by her parents, James and Annie Clark Booth; her sisters, Ann Hawkins and Virginia Booth; her brother Herman Booth; and her grandson, Johnathan Neil Hamilton.
Mrs. Blocker is survived by her daughters, Renee Richardson and husband Rich, and Rhonda Fletcher and husband Dean, both of Toney, AL; her sons, Randall Blocker of Moulton, AL, and Rick Blocker and wife Tracy of Anderson, AL; her sisters, Ellen Ferrell and husband Charles, Laura Messer and husband Sam, and Margaret Wilson and husband Earl; her sisters in law, Martha Booth and Bridget Booth; her brothers, Harlan Booth and wife Betty, Michelle Booth, Wayne Booth, Terry Booth, and Huey Booth; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Rick Blocker, Randy Blocker, Rich Richardson, Dean Fletcher, Joshua Hamilton, Nic Blocker, Matt Blocker, Beau Dunavant, Brandon Richardson, Bradley Conley, Justin Vayda, Sam Davis, and Brian Whitten.
