Funeral for Martha L. Sowers, 78, of Decatur will be Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Ridout''s Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ben Hayes officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mrs. Sowers, who died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at Decatur General Hospital, was born May 12, 1931, in Morgan County to John F. and Sarah Counterman Morgan. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and worked in the nursery for 21 years. Survivors include her husband, Howard Sowers; daughter Sarah Cottingham Frazier; three sons, Edward Woodall Jr. and Ricky Woodall, both of Decatur, and Darryl Woodall of Harrison, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
