Mrs. Martha White Davis, 90, of Florence, died Saturday, January 09, 2010. Visitation will be Monday, January 11, 2010, from 10:30 until service time at Elkins Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 12 Noon in the funeral home Chapel with Rev. Gary Formby officiating. Interment will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Florence, and had volunteered with the Salvation Army, at ECM Hospital, Merel Gardens, Mitchell Hollingsworth and Glenwood. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William A. White; second husband, Dan W. Davis, parents, Riley B. and Bertha W. Turner; and by a brother, James R. Turner, and son-in-law, Tom A. Hall. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki White Hall of Florence. Granddaughter Heathe Hall Daniel and husband Lt. Benjamin Daniel. Nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will include Dan Martin, Jerry Dean, Martin Dean, Rick Collins, Larry Lynn and Charles Rasch Jr. Honorary bearers will include Roy Cooper, Ernest McClure, Bill Wynne, Tyler Medina and Bill Cochran. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or to the First United Methodist Church.
