Graveside service for Mary "Charlie" Hutson Minor, 83, of Decatur will be Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Hartselle with Ridout''s Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Minor, who died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009, was born March 11, 1926, in Morgan County to Judson Hutson and Vera Wilhite Hutson. She was the youngest child of two brothers and one sister. Mrs. Minor worked as a telephone operator in Decatur in the 1940s until she quit to begin a family. One of her greatest pleasures was shopping with her sister, Esther Miller, who preceded her in death. She was very patriotic and religious and attended Rural Grove Baptist Church until her health confined her to home. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert L. Minor; and her daughter, Rebecca Minor.
