Mrs. Mary Inez Droke Nicely passed away at her home after a brief illness on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013. She was 88.

Mrs. Nicely was an avid Alabama football fan and a Braves baseball fan. She enjoyed needlework, her flower garden and birdwatching. She worked with her husband for decades in his C.P.A. practice.

A private graveside service was held on Thursday.

Mrs. Nicely is survived by her three daughters, Becky Nicely, of Selmer, Tenn., Nancy Stanley and husband, Eddie Ray, of Toney, Ala., and Mary V. Nicely, of Florence; grandson, Ben DeLeeuw and wife, Susie, of Iuka, Miss.; two great-granddaughters.

Mrs. Nicely was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Vaughn Nicely; infant twins, Lennie and Lucy; brothers Jack and Bill Droke; and parents, W.R. and Lucy Droke.
