Mary Elizabeth Johnson McBryde age 94 of Florence, formerly of Fayetteville, N.C. passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Fayetteville, N.C.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leon Alexander McBryde, brother Charles Johnson and her grandson, Casey McBryde.

Mary is survived by her daughter Mary Lynn Fraser (Keith) and her son Leon McBryde (Linda). Her grandchildren, Elizabeth Cabrera (Angel), Katherine Fraser (Ben Towle), and Adam McBryde (Tricia); her great-grandchildren, Alex Cabrera, Emily Cabrera, Marion Towle, Sean McBryde, Emily McBryde, Ty McBryde and Cooper McBryde, and daughter in law, Wendy McBryde

Mary was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville, N.C. She was the first woman elected Deacon, an Elder and Elder Emeritus. She taught Sunday school and women of the church and chaired many committees. She was active in her community through the Garden Club, Women''s Club and the Symphony Board.
