Mary L. "Mama" Cole, 86, of Florence died Saturday, July 17, 2021, at her residence.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 20, 2021, 12-2 PM at Elkins East Chapel.  Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the chapel with Bro. Jeff Putman officiating.  Burial will be at Barkley-White Cemetery.

Mama Cole was a member of the Eastwood Church of Christ.  She was best known for her famous "Mama Cole's Fried Pies".

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton Elsie and Ruthie Mason Putman; siblings, Arlon, Royce, Betty Jo, Janice, Shirley, and Linda Gail.

Mama Cole is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Leonard Cole; children, Rickey Cole (Vicki), Mickey Cole, and Susan Smith (Thomas); grandchildren, Shawn Cole, Sheenan Cole, Heather McElyea, Chip Smith, and Marylynn Oliver; great-grandchildren, Sydney Cole, Giovanni Cohea, Kayti Howard, Faith McElyea, Chloe Oliver, and Kaylynn Oliver; sisters, Barbara Tyler and Glenda Alsbrook; brothers, Jerry Wayne Putman and Randall Putman.

Pallbearers will be Cedric Lard, Jason Lard, Chip Smith, Randy Putman, Kenny Putman, Phillip Butler, and Clay Cottles.
