Funeral for Mary C. Mayes, 76, of Langtown will be Thursday, May 5, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Elliott Funeral Home with Bro. Johnathan Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Mayes, who died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, was born March 3, 1935, in Reinzi, Miss. to Fred Basden and Mittie Trimm Basden. She is preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Stormi Jo Mayes; and sister Sue Hardee.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Harold Mayes Sr.; three sons, Freddy Mayes (Susan), Harold Mayes Jr. (Carol), and Ronald Mayes (Amy); five grandchildren, Freddy Jr., Aleia, Rocky, Rowdy and Lauren Mayes; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Billy Basden and Claudie Basden; one sister, Juanita Smith; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Richie Alexander, Lee Jordan, Josh Johnson, Kenny Ray, Danny West, Bo Collier and Heath Mayes.
Langtown
