Obituary

Mary Frances McIntyre, age 94 of Florence, passed away on June 15, 2026. Services will be held on Saturday, June 20th at Glendale Church of Christ beginning at 11am with Ben Siegel and Milton Sewell officiating. Visitation will begin an hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at New Hope Cemetery immediately following the service.

Mary McIntyre was a member of Glendale Church of Christ, and a devoted Christian with a servant’s heart.

She graduated from Mars Hill Bible School and Freed Hardeman University and was a longtime supporter of both institutions all of her life. She was an employee of Reynolds from 1952 unti they closed.

She is survived by Patricia Rhodes her cousin and caretaker; close neighbors that consider her family, and neighborhood children that consider her a grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Alama McIntyre; brother, William Louie McIntyre; and nephews, Jeff and Brian McIntyre.

Pallbearers will include Lawrence Smith, Steve Siegel, Justin and Carter Marks, David McIntyre, Scotty Butler, Greg Grigsby. Honorary pallbearers will be Milton Sewell, Jimmy McAdams and John Upton.

The family would like to give thanks to Jeanna and Justin Marks and Carter, Columbia Cottage Staff that cared for her since February, Preferred Home Health especially Amy and Katie and the NAMC E.R. Staff and Palliative Nurses. And special thanks to Dr. Lango and Natasha Ledlow, NP.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to New Hope Cemetery fund.

Elkins Funeral Home in Florence is assisting the family.
