Funeral for Mary Frances Stockton McLachlan, 81, of Decatur will be Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Stonbraker officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. McLachlan, who died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at Summerford Nursing Home, was born March 10, 1926, in Morgan County to Judson and Sarah Stockton. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight E. McLachlan; son, Mark McLachlan; and brothers, Lee Stockton and Eugene Stockton. Survivors include one son, Bryan McLachlan; two daughters, Cathryn McLachlan Strickland and husband, Jeff, and Jeanne McLachlan Pope and husband, Tim; one sister, Sarah Hunter; and eight grandchildren, Jennifer Hill, Sean McLachlan, Jonathan McLachlan, Emily Strickland, Josh Strickland, Sam Strickland, Penny Pope and Mark Pope.
