Matthew Newbury, of Florence died Thursday, July 5, 2018.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 11, 2018, 6-8 PM at Elkins East Chapel.  Funeral services will be Thursday, July 12, 2018, 1 PM at Elkins East Chapel with Waylon Hill officiating.  Burial will be at Bluewater Cemetery.

Mr. Newbury was preceded in death by his sister, Hollie Newbury; mother, Norma Newbury; grandparents, Dean Newbury, Willie D. and Imogene Swinea.

Mr. Newbury is survived by his father, Randy Newbury (Judy); grandfather, Glenn Newbury; nieces, Katlen Rich, Whitney Rich, and Mary Jane Gordon; nephews, Will Gordon and Shiloh Gordon; step-brothers, Charlie Gordon and Tyler Gordon; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Danny Varnell, Josh Varnell, Kenny Russell, Charlie Gordon, Will Gordon, and James Putman.
