Mattie Whitlock Rowland, 85, died Friday, April 13, 2012, at Providence Hospital in Mobile, AL. Visitation will be Sunday, April 15, 2012, from 12-2PM at Elkins East Chapel. Funeral services will follow in the chapel, with Bro. Billy Thorn officiating. Burial will be at Barnett Cemetery. Mrs. Rowland was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Whitlock; son, Dale Whitlock. She is survived by her husband, Earl Rowland; two sons, Charlie Whitlock and Ronald G. Whitlock; three step daughters, Barbara Rowland, Martha Rowland, and Claudia Rowland; eight siblings; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
