Maxine Feil, age 91, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2009, at her home in Decatur. She was born May 5, 1918 . She was retired from Decatur Utilities. She loved traveling and competing in barbecue cook-offs throughtout the country. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Feil. She is survived by one son, Douglas Feil; brother-in-law, Jack Lassen of Prescott, Ariz., and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ridout''s Brown-Service Funeral Home. The family request that memorials be made to Hospice of the Valley.
