Michael David England, 54, of Florence, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012 after a brief illness.
The visitation will be Friday at New Hope Church of Christ beginning at 12:00 p.m. with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. Bro. Leon Cole will officiate. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery. Elkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Mike was a member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his daughters Christie Plott (Ray) of Muscle Shoals, Amy England of Birmingham, Elizabeth Springston of Sheffield and Jessie England of Florence; granddaughters Jamey England and Kamryn Springston; parents Leon and Barbara Bevis England; sister Carol Cauthen (Philip) of Huntsville; niece Katie Cauthen; grandmother Ann Thorn of Cloverdale.
Mike was preceded in death by grandparents Berlin and Ruby England and Dalton and Ethel Bevis, a cousin Byron Rickard and an uncle Dalton Bevis, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Tim England, David England, Barry Rickard, Dwight England, Steve Rickard, Barry Faulkner, Roy Abston and Garvis Dixon. Honorary bearers will be Greg Rowe, David Hyde, Charles Hyde, Larry Jones and George England.
