Mr. Michael Ray Hanback, age 70 of Killen, passed away on January 14, 2025. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 17 at Elkins Funeral Home in Florence beginning at 12pm. Services will begin at 2pm. Burial will immediately follow the service at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Hanback was a hardworking man that loved the work he did, even if it frustrated him sometimes. He could do almost any kind of work that needed to be done. He was an excellent cook and loved to fish and be on the river. You could find him sitting on his boathouse enjoying the sun some days. He also enjoyed skiing and taking photos.  Mr. Hanback was an avid Alabama Football fan and could be found cheering on the Crimson Tide any time they were playing.

He was a member of IBEW 558 for 44 years.

Mr. Hanback is survived by his wife of 10 years, Kimberly Hanback; children, Tiffany Vandiver, Jason Hanback, and Ben Hanback (Ashley); grandchildren, Greyson and Nolan Poag, Ridge Hanback, and Dayton Hanback; niece, Jamie Wills; and great nephew, Dawson Wills. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Sue Hanback; and siblings, Regina and Ricky Hanback.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Fike, Matthew Hurst, Patrick Daniel, Justin Mabe, Joey Burgess, Glenn Alexander. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Parrish and Lenny Smith.
