Michael "Mike" Curtis Jones age 65 of Rogersville passed away Friday August 25, 2012. Visitation will be Tuesday 11am till 1pm at Elkins Funeral Home of Florence. Services will follow at 1pm in the Chapel with President Gary Pettus , Steve Jones and Scott Jones officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen cemetery. Mike was preceded by his father Curtis Jones and mother Nell P. Jones and a cousin Rev. Bob T. Jones. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Nita Jones. His children, Chyne Jones (Paula), Heather Farr (Steve), Heath Jones (Chelsea) and Clint Jones. Grandchildren, Seth, Patton, Haleigh, Landon and Jacob Jones. Kinley and Sutton Farr. Cousins, Steve Jones (Nancy) and Debbie Jones (and the late Rev. Bob T. Jones). Mike was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the Masonic Lodge #147 of Rogersville. He was a graduate of Central High School. Mike was a proud veteran of the Army and Navy serving in the Vietnam war two tours and earned several metals. He loved riding his motorcycles and spending time with his friends and family. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Shriners Hospital or St. Judes in Mike Jones name.
