Michael Lee Nix age 54 of Florence passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Elkins Funeral Home of Florence. Services will be Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Elkins with Steve Smallwood officiating. Burial will follow at Murphy Chapel Cemetery.

He is preceded in death by his father Silas Lee Nix.

Michael is survived by his mother Ellen Spears and his stepfather Williford Spears. His daughter Michelle Nix and son Joseph Nix and three grandchildren. Sisters Merry Phillips, Leasa Carter, Tabitha Ballard, and Tracey Vandiver. Brothers Timmy and Eric Nix. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Pallbearers will be his nephews; Timothy Nix, Aaron Phillips, Kolt Hale, E.J. Nix, Tommy Bivins, Henry Bivins and Adam Birch.
