Mickey Wayne Barnett's Obituary
Mickey Wayne Barnett, 58, of Florence passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at his residence. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 9 at Elkins Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 12:30 p.m. with Sonny Owens officiating.
Mickey graduated from Bradshaw High School and attended UNA. He loved all sports, especially baseball and Alabama football.
Survivors include his son, Drew Weston Barnett (Kayla); grandson, Weston Reese Barnett; mother, Nettie Ruth Barnett; sisters, Sherry B. Garner and Charlene R. McDaniel (Marlin); brother, John P. Barnett, Jr. (Bonnie); and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie P. Barnett, Sr. and sister, Linda G. Skipworth.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to NAMI of the Shoals.
