Millard "Alan" Alan Thompson's Obituary
Millard Alan Thompson age 58 of Florence passed away on his birthday; Sunday, December 25, 2016. Visitation and services will be held private. Elkins Funeral Home of Florence in charge.
He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth David Thompson and Ina Joy Wilson Thompson. And his brother David Thompson Jr.
Alan is survived by his brother Dennis Thompson (Violet) and three sisters; Diane Henderson (Chris), Marisa Herron ( Jim), and Mary Canaday (Steve). Nine nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
Alan retired from the City of Florence Water Dept. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and Alabama football.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Hospital.
